More details to be released as they are finalised, including teams competing, location, venue and fixture. Also note that the dates indicated in the event may change, but are expected to be locked in shortly.

At this stage we are excited to announce that 7 Asia-Pacific associations have expressed interest in sending both men’s and women’s national teams to this tournament, so we will be working with each association to help turn this interest into confirmation. We hope to finalise and release the list of competing nations in the coming few months.

This will be the second time this tournament has been held, after the inaugural Asia-Pacific Fistball Championships (then known as the Asian Fistball Championships) were held on April 10th -11th, 2014, with the Pakistan Fistball Federation (PFF) hosting the tournament in Lahore, Pakistan.

This tournament will mark the second international tournament hosted by FiFA in its short history, after successfully hosting the New Zealand Fistball Association in Geelong last year for the inaugural Trans-Tasman Fistball Championships.

This tournament will also provide the chance for the fistball associations of the Asia-Pacific region to begin to, or in some cases continue to, grow and strengthen their fistball relationships. In addition, it will facilitate the opportunity to formalise the establishment of the Asia-Pacific Fistball Association.

This tournament also has the support of the IFA – International Fistball Association, as it will play an integral role in the upcoming World Championship qualification process (if required).

An Asia-Pacific Fistball Championships website will be released closer to the event.

Any questions regarding the event can be sent directly to the Fistball Federation of Australia via the Facebook page or email (contact@fistball.com.au).

Fist on!
